Made in India vs assembled in India
Made in India typically refers to finished-good manufacture in India. Assembled in India can mean final assembly with substantial imported parts. Packaging in India is not manufacture. Made4Bharat labels target finished-good origin signals, not a full bill of materials.
Components can still be global
A product can be Made in India while using imported chips, plastics, or sub-assemblies. That does not automatically make the label false — but it is not “100% Indian content.”
